I just finished watching Elfen Lied, and I find myself rather conflicted about it. I want some time to think about it before I really dig into my feelings on it, but my initial thoughts are this:
It feels like 13 episodes was too short a time to properly delve into the story and explain things and I don't feel there was a proper resolution in the slightest, but at the same time I don't think I would WANT to spend more time with these characters. I cannot think of another anime series where the main (human) characters are such ineffectual boobs and end up being such a nonfactor in the actual plot of the series.
More thoughts to come later (provided I don't get distracted by something more exciting), but has anyone else watched this show?

Last week, shortly after I got to San Jose on the train from Sacramento, I was at dinner with my dad and brother, and I got a piece of meat lodged in my esophagus. I've had this sort of thing happen before, sometimes I can clear it on my own, this time I couldn't. Short story is I wound up in the emergency room for over 17 hours, and I'm still all bruised inside. I'll come back with details as I can remember them, or anybody cares to hear.
Anyway, now to try to throw together a pirate outfit and head to BaGG (I don't usually do that; it's pirate night this week).

Well, it's Wednesday. Had a good night last night, nuke pizza, laundry and
AoC. Still liking AoC, which is good. Had fun with ferrets, other than Nyx
really wants to rearrange one bookshelf. She pulls down books, I put them
back, she pulls them down. Repeat, ALOT. I love Nyx, but she is stubborn
as hell. The other two were their normal poingy selves. Whiskey was being
affectionate, he was using me as a jungle gym, which is fun. Arwen just ran
around, wrestling with me and the other two. Much cuteness was to be had.
Went to bed a little before midnight, had dreams about a party where
chraptor brought a suprise, he'd somehow snagged
shadowstarr from NY for the party. Yay friends visiting.
Was kinda disappointed to wake up and realize it was a dream. Oh well.
Not alot else, looks like another day of quietness. Which is good, if kinda
dull. Tonight is Amythest time,
which is something to look forward to. And in a few days, the weekend.
Yay the weekend. Yay getting paid. Yay other random stuff. On that note
though, the shoggoths call collect. Laters all.

Well back from the hospital. Well the cough is broncitous.
The eye is a different story. They don't know. It looks fine but they can't account for it being blurry. So another hospital I have to go to tomorrow where they have eye doctors on staff.
